The twelve houses

In the house chart the twelve Mothers, Daughters and Nieces are placed in the houses in the order they were made. The first house is always you. The house that matches your question holds the figure for the matter.

  1. 1. House of the Querent

    The person asking the question: their body, outlook and circumstances.

    e.g. How am I approaching this situation?

  2. 2. House of Wealth

    Money, income, movable property, profit and loss, and theft.

    e.g. Will this business make money? · Will my stolen bike be recovered?

  3. 3. House of Siblings

    Brothers and sisters, neighbors, your immediate surroundings, journeys under about 200 miles, schooling, advice, news and rumors.

    e.g. Will my relationship with my sister improve? · Is this news accurate?

  4. 4. House of Home

    Land, buildings, moving house, anything underground or hidden, old age, the father, and the end of any matter.

    e.g. Is this property worth buying? · Should I move to a new city?

  5. 5. House of Pleasure

    Children and pregnancy, sexuality, parties and entertainment, food and drink, clothing, letters, books and messages.

    e.g. Will the party go well? · Will I hear back from her?

  6. 6. House of Servants

    Employees and service providers, illness and injury, pets and small domestic animals.

    e.g. Should I hire this person? · Will I find my lost dog?

  7. 7. House of Partnership

    Spouse or lover, marriage, partnerships and contracts, conflict and competition, known enemies, thieves, and people you want to find.

    e.g. Will this relationship last? · Should I sign the contract?

  8. 8. House of Death

    Death and everything connected with it, spirits and ghosts, magic you perform, money lent to others, and absent persons.

  9. 9. House of Journeys

    Long trips and travel by sea or air, religion and spirituality, higher education, the arts and dreams.

  10. 10. House of Career

    Career, standing in society, people in authority, the mother, politics, and the weather.

    e.g. Will I get the promotion? · Should I look for a new job?

  11. 11. House of Friends

    Friends and allies, promises, sources of help, hopes and wishes, and questions you would rather not state.

    e.g. Will my friend keep her promise? · Will I achieve my dream?

  12. 12. House of Troubles

    Restriction and confinement, debts you owe, secrets, enemies you do not know about, large animals.

    e.g. Is someone working against me? · Will I be able to pay my bills?
