Privacy
In short: Shield Chart has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your questions and readings are not sent to us or stored by us.

Casting a chart
Charts are cast and read entirely in your browser. The random figures come from your own device, and the reading is worked out there too. Nothing about your question or your chart is sent to us.
Your question in the page address
After you cast, the page address (URL) holds your chart and your question, so you can reload the page or come back to the reading. That means:
- the address, with your question, is saved in your browser history like any other page you visit;
- if you copy or share the link, whoever receives it can see your question and chart;
- if you reload the page or open a shared link, the full address is sent to the server, where it may appear in the hosting provider's routine logs (see below).
If a question is private, don't share the link, and clear it from your browser history if others use your device.
The journal
Readings you save go into your browser's own storage on this device (“local storage”). They are never uploaded, we cannot see them, and they do not follow you to other devices or browsers. You can delete any entry on the journal page. Clearing your browser's site data for Shield Chart deletes the whole journal.
Cookies, analytics and ads
Shield Chart sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, shows no ads and loads nothing from other companies' servers.
Hosting
Like every website, Shield Chart is served by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers receive standard technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the address requested and the time. Providers keep these logs for a limited period to run and secure the service. We do not use them to identify you or build a profile of you.
Children
Shield Chart is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change.
